Friday NewsletterLunch
If your child brings lunch to school, please take some time over the next week to pay attention to what is coming home. We send home uneaten food in order to give you an idea of how to adequately pack for your child’s appetite. Also, please try to keep “balance” in mind when packing a lunch. A sandwich, fruit or vegetable and small dessert is enough for most children. If you have your children pack their own lunch, that is great but please go over these guidelines with them as well. Fruit snacks, fruit roll-ups, cookies, and crackers packed as the only lunch items do not meet Wellness Plan standards.
Penny Challenge
Please ask your children about the Penny Challenge taking place to raise money for the orphanages and St. Patrick’s Center this year. We are very excited to see how much fun the kids will have!
ITBS Testing
Volunteers are needed to help with ITBS Testing in the mornings the week of September 22. If you are available or would like more information on what it takes to be an ITBS Testing volunteer, please contact our Learning Consultant, Laura Bergman via email (Laura.Bergman@stmmlab.com) or phone (314-961-0149).
Recess Duty
Thank you to everyone who has already signed up for recess duty this year. Remember all families are being asked to do 1 -2 duties. If you can do even more that is great. September is full and October is looking pretty good as well. However, I am trying to have everything scheduled through December before I go on maternity leave. Please take time this weekend to go over the attached calendars and email me (malbertsmm@charter.net) to let me know if you are available to help out on an open date. Thanks!
Next Week (September 8 - 12):
Monday: Recess Duty: Indelicato
Tuesday: Recess Duty: Otten
Wednesday: Recess Duty: Bohac
Thursday: Recess Duty: Collier
Friday: 8th Grade Field Trip and Recess Duty: Bader
