	Volunteer Opportunities Below are many of the on-going volunteer opportunities for this year. These committees need to be filled in order for our school to run smoothly and effectively. Without volunteers like you, Saint Mary Magdalen School would not be the great place it is today. Please take the time to review the opportunities below and reflect upon where your time and talents can BEST serve the children and faculty. If you have any questions regarding any of the opportunities, please feel free to ask the school office. We are grateful for your commitment to Saint Mary Magdalen. Opportunity Time Responsibility Chairperson(s) Book Fair Book Fair is the last week of October 2010 Help set-up, take-down, and/or organize books Jennifer Ketcherside Box Tops As needed, can be done at home Help collect and sort labels (Campbells and General Mills). Barb Echele PR/Enrollment As needed Help with promoting our school in the community. (web/print, etc)This will be an important committee this year. The more the merrier. Dawn Sorgea Friday Folders 1 hour (7:45-8:45) on Friday mornings. 2-3 times per semester. Collate, organize and stuff the Friday folders. Mrs. Sauer Prayer Partner On-going Pray for a class, provide letters of encouragement & occasional treats. Mrs. Shroff Market Day 1 hour (2:45 p.m.–3:45 p.m.), once a month Sort and distribute orders. Lisa Panicola Uniform Exchange Twice a Year Organize and launder used uniforms for sale. Michelle Grossen Events Faculty Lunch Lunch for Faculty - Oct 29 and Feb 2 Help plan, run and/or cook lunch for faculty. Needed Father/Daughter Dance Dance for Dads and girls February 11, 2011. Help plan and run the dance. Barb Bowman Mother/Son Event N/A Work in progress.Let us know if you have any ideas or would like to help. Needed Sock Hop February 4, 2011. Plan and run the Sock Hop to celebrate the end of Catholic Schools Week. Needed Pancake Breakfast Sunday January 30, 2011. Help cook, serve and clean up breakfast during Open House. Laura Blasé Teacher Appreciation Teacher Appreciation Week May 2 - 6, 2011. Help organize and/or cook a lunch for the faculty. Needed Parish Picnic Annual Parish Picnic held in the Spring. Help plan and organize the Parish Picnic. Barb Welker, Janet Otten Room Parent Yearlong commitment, as needed. Coordinate parties, organize volunteers to staff events, etc. Liz Asleson Fish Fries Every Friday in Lent. Each class will be assigned a night to work. Needed Auction Spring of 2011 We will need MANY volunteers to make our auction a success. Barb Bowman, Tammy Graning and Barb Welker can answer questions.
